CAST IRON CARE All our Antique Iron Products are submitted to a five-stage Hand Finishing Process. For authenticity, our Products are NOT lacquered. There is a maintenance wax applied for basic moisture protection & we would advise a wipe with a clean cloth before use or applying your own finish. Our Antique Iron products may show light surface Rust if exposed to damp environments. You can negate this by rubbing some wax or shoe polish on the iron or even paint them. If a protective wax hasn’t been applied & rust occurs this can be easily removed by using light oil (such as WD40) & a fine grade wire wool.
